background

Hi again, my name is Kingsley Oyelabi working out of the deep Atlantic Ocean. Here are pictures in case you’ve not seen an ocean before. I am a software engineer that builds scalable and reliable software systems. These days, I find I enjoy distributed systems and so I’ve been reading a lot of topics in the literature. I’m currently reading Martin Kleppmann’s Designing Data-Intensive Applications. Fascinating book, that one. You should check it out.

I am a huge fiction fan, and at the time of writing this, I am reading Steve Erikson’s Malazan Book of the Fallen. But they tend to finish quickly, so I might have finished it when you read this. I am also currently learning to play the guitar. Y se un poco de español! :D

But my varied interests do you little good. What you probably want to know is that I am a software engineer with over 2 years of industry experience. I have worked with a variety of technologies and languages, Python, C++, JavaScript, Rust. Backend, frontend, and many things in between. From Django and FastAPI to the framework this site is built on, Astro. I have also worked with a variety of tools and platforms: AWS, Heroku, GCP, Render, Redis, Docker and many more.

What else? Tons of stuff. No, I’m not going to tell you here. You can text me if you want to know.
